September 2004 - Announcements

2005 Dues
We know it’s early for a 2005 dues reminder, but please keep in mind we will again be
inserting a payment envelope in the November/December issue of the Voice. Please
watch for it and keep up-to-date with your American Maine-Anjou Association (AMAA)
annual dues!

Registration Applications
Please look over your supply of registration applications. If you still have old ones on
which you could only submit four head, please dispose of them as we no longer use those
forms. The most current applications will accommodate eight head and includes our
correct (Platte City) address. Some of you may still have forms with our former Kansas
City address. Those forms can still be used, but update the address to P.O. Box 1100,
Platte City, MO 64079-1100.

Dues Requirement
Animals cannot be registered or transferred if either the owner or seller is not an active
member of the Association. Therefore, if a buyer mails in a transfer from a non-member
or inactive member, the buyer will be charged for the seller’s membership fee or annual
dues. The exception to this rule is if all animals owned by that individual (non- or
inactive member) are being transferred at the same time, so the individual currently
would not own any cattle.

Magazine Deadline
If you are reading this announcement, it is too late to place an ad in the October issue of
the Voice. Deadline for the October issue was Sept. 1, 2004. Don’t miss the opportunity
to be in the November/December Performance Issue. Call (816) 858-9954 to reserve your
advertising space.
November/December 2004 ad deadline: October 1, 2004
This issue focuses on the performance of the Maine-Anjou breed, including the benefits
of having Maine-Anjou cattle and their ability to perform to high standards. Maine-Anjou
cattle are one of the most progressive breeds in the beef industry and this issue focuses on
that aspect. Call (816) 858-9954 to reserve your advertising space.

release the results of their particular testing to our office. The following are updated
